• Intentionally expanding children’s vocabulary, oral language, and emerging literacy skills in developmentally appropriate ways
• Modeling expressive, authentic English through conversations, songs, stories, and guided interactions throughout the school day
• Nurturing young children’s social-emotional growth while fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of language
• Building warm, respectful relationships with children and collaborating closely with immersion-track teachers to ensure cohesive learning experiences across languages
• Observing and documenting children’s language development to inform responsive teaching practices
Required:
• Fluency in spoken and written English, with the ability to model rich and expressive language for young learners.
• Minimum of 3 years of Early Childhood teaching experience (ages 2–6 preferred).
• Demonstrated understanding of early literacy development, including oral language progression, phonological awareness, and emergent reading and writing within play-based environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
• Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred:
• State or equivalent national teaching certification
• Direct experience teaching in, or strong familiarity with, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP)
