Position Information
Prairiewood High School is a Year 7 to 12 comprehensive, co–educational and partially academically selective school of 1300 students. The school caters for a diverse student population with 1% of Aboriginal students and 87% of students from a wide range of non–English speaking backgrounds, including over 100 refugee students. The school has four Special Education classes. There are 60 academically selective students in each year group. Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7- and Industrial Technology – Timber
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective and engaging teaching and learning programs which support a wide range of learners.
Evidence of effective classroom management to promote a supportive and positive learning environment.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
