Job Description
As Teaching and Learning Manager, you will lead the Education and Student Support Office (ESSO) at SSEES, overseeing the delivery of high-quality administrative support across undergraduate, postgraduate taught, and research programmes. You will coordinate key areas such as timetabling, assessments, student records, and quality assurance, while working closely with academic and professional services colleagues. The role includes line management responsibilities, strategic planning, and continuous improvement of processes to enhance the student and staff experience. The position is available from 30 September 2026 to 31 August 2026. Interviews are expected to be held on 4 and 5 September.
About you
You will have significant experience supporting teaching and associated activities, with substantial experience of line management. You’ll be confident in managing and motivating teams, and have a good understanding of the key issues influencing UK Higher Education. You’ll also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage and manipulate large amounts of programme and curriculum-related data using Excel, PowerBI, or other relevant software.
