Job description
We are looking to recruit passionate and committed Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants for Special Schools in North London, offering both daily and long-term cover positions.
Key Requirements:
• Special Needs Experience: Experience with children who have ASD, PMLD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH is highly desirable.
• Behavioural Management: Experience working with children exhibiting challenging behaviour.
• Physical Disabilities: Experience supporting students with physical disabilities.
We Also Consider:
• Relevant Skills and Qualifications: Candidates with relevant skills and qualifications, even without direct Teaching Assistant experience, provided they have suitable references.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional approach in all interactions.
• Initiative: Ability to take initiative and collaborate effectively with permanent staff.
• Communication: Strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals.
Essential Criteria:
• Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to Travel: Prepared to travel up to 45 - 60 minutes for work.
• Professional Experience: Preferably have experience in a childcare, care, or healthcare role.
• References: Possess up-to-date professional childcare references covering the last 2 years.
• DBS Disclosure: Hold an enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
