We are looking for qualified, talented, experienced, artistic, detail-oriented, creative candidates with good interpersonal skills for the position of an Teaching Faculty - Interior design, who love teaching as much as we do!. Good personality, the art of motivating students and leadership are qualities we are looking for. They will also be effective communicators with the ability to persuade in communicating a design idea. Candidates must be up to date with current industry trends, stay on top of new design innovations, technologies and software.
Local Candidates : We are seeking qualified candidates preferably from Trivandrum to teach Interior Design at our campus.
Requirements
· Masters Degree (MArch/ MDes) or Bachelor’s degree (BArch/BDes), from any reputed institute / university.
· 3-5 years of experience in teaching preferred
· Excellent academic and professional record
· Possess an academic focus that blends well with a passion for achieving excellence in teaching.
· The candidate should be willing to take up and explore new opportunities.
· He/ She should be self-motivated and able to create innovative teaching.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Very good interpersonal skills.
· Highly organized and efficient in time management.
· Willingness to assist and support students
· Knowledge and proficiency of software such as Auto CAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, Vray etc.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct all classroom, studio and lab sessions
• Organise workshops, seminars, guest lectures and events as per schedule
• Take students on site visits and important events happening in the industry
• Help design and fine-tune the curriculum and course modules
• Prepare lesson plans and follow it with discipline
• Prepare assignments and projects and monitor performance of students strictly.
Qualities:
· A high level of attention to detail.
· To be able to teach online as well as offline
· Stay informed about changes and innovations in their field.
· Conduct research and experiments to advance knowledge in their field.
· Establish and maintain good relationships with the college staff, students and their parents.
· Stimulate analytical and rational thinking.
· Constructive interaction with students for various theory and studio subjects.
· Mentor and support students on projects through formal lectures and informal discussions
· Holding regular meetings with academic, faculties and students’ representative to ensure teaching process going smoothly and as per schedule.
· Design and organize Interior Design Exhibition with faculties and students.
· Administrative work such as scheduling classes, field visits and exams, allocating subjects and classes to the rest of the teaching staff, Design examination papers & tests for grading and evaluation purposes, preparing schemes of work and maintain records to monitor student progress and attendance, etc.
