Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Full Stack Web Development Teaching Fellow. This role involves providing hands-on support to students, assisting the tutor in delivering lessons, and actively contributing to the development of course materials and curriculum. Responsibilities:
• Student Support: Assist students in understanding web development concepts, troubleshooting coding issues, and providing guidance on project implementation.
• Assistant to Tutor: Collaborate with the tutor to facilitate classroom activities, including organising workshops, code reviews, and group discussions, and providing assistance during lectures and demonstrations.
• Content Creation: Develop instructional materials, including code examples, tutorials, assignments, and projects, to reinforce learning objectives and engage students effectively.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing improvement and expansion of the full stack web development curriculum, incorporating industry best practices, emerging technologies, and student feedback.
• Mentorship: Provide mentorship and support to students as they work on individual and group projects, offering technical guidance, code reviews, and constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.
• Classroom Management: Assist in managing classroom logistics, including setting up technical equipment, monitoring attendance, and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student assignments, projects, and assessments, providing detailed feedback and constructive criticism to help students improve their skills and understanding of web development principles.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about industry trends, new tools, and technologies in full stack web development, continuously enhancing your own skills and knowledge to support students better and contribute to curriculum development.
