Food by WHSmith currently operates over twenty cafés in NSW, QLD, VIC and SA, providing food and beverages to hospital employees, patients and the general public. Our cafes are located in some of the busiest hospitals in the country, and we are growing rapidly. About the Role
As a Café Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. Responsibilities include:
Training team members in store processes and procedures.
Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with Food by WHSmith hygiene Standards.
Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Store Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations.
Assist in the preparation of both food and beverages/coffees.
Please note, our cafe is located within the Coffs Harbour Health Campus. The standard hours are Monday - Friday 8:15-4:15pm, with an occasional 5:45am start.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for coffee and is friendly & approachable. You will display the following qualities:
1 year of experience as a team leader or supervisor in a hospitality environment preferred.
Excellent communication and a team player.
Prior barista training and skills are preferred.
Must be capable of multitasking in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge around food handling and safety (Food Safety Certificate is ideal but not essential)
Great customer service skills and passion for coffee!
Full-time availability 5 days a week as per the above mentioned standard hours.
