About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Team Leader to manage daily sortation and dispatch operations in Cairns.
This role is ideal for someone with warehouse, logistics, or courier experience who can lead from the front—supporting operations while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and on-time dispatch.
You will play a key role in coordinating parcel sorting, managing workflows, and supporting delivery readiness each day.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily sortation of parcels into delivery routes
Supervise and support a small team of warehouse associates
Ensure parcels are processed accurately and within timelines
Coordinate dispatch readiness for drivers and delivery partners
Monitor productivity and resolve operational issues in real-time
Maintain a safe and organised work environment
Handle basic reporting and daily operational updates
Requirements
Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, courier, or distribution operations
Proven ability to lead or supervise small teams
Hands-on mindset – willing to be involved in physical operations
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, early morning environment
Good communication skills and reliability
Basic computer skills (for reporting / scanning systems preferred)
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience in parcel/courier operations (e.g. sortation, dispatch)
Familiarity with scanning devices or logistics systems
Forklift licence (not mandatory but advantageous)
Qualifications
Certificate III / IV in Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain (preferred but not mandatory)
Relevant industry experience will be highly regarded in place of formal qualifications
