Job Description

Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company is seeking a full-time Team Leader for our Wareouse and Packaging Operations. Reporting to the Director GSC Manufacturing Operation, the Team Leader, Packaging & Warehouse Operations is an integral member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team. The individual’s expertise and experience in Packaging and Warehousing operations best practices will play a critical role in delivering Global Supply Chain’s performance objectives in safety, quality, service, and cost. This position supports in the development of the Manufacturing Business Plan, Capital Budget, and Key Performance Measures. The Team Leader, Packaging & Warehouse Operations has responsibility for direct supervision of the Packaging and Warehouse Operations in Mississauga.


Job Duties
Ensure all Packaging and Warehouse operations run safely
Creating a safety culture that promotes looking out for one another and doing things the right way leveraging hazard identification and behavior based safety programs.
Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with government Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Company Health & Safety procedures within the terms of the Collective Agreement
Provide overall leadership, strategic direction and priorities to the PCLI packaging and warehouse operations that include both full time salaried staff and hourly employees based in Edmonton & Mississauga.
Accountable for proprietary warehouse operations in Mississauga (National Warehouse)
Demonstrate strong Non-Authoritative Leadership (NAL) skills and a commitment to teamwork & empowerment to create an environment of opportunity and growth
Focus team on following HFC’s Core Values
Monitor expenses, develop continual improvement initiatives with equipment and processes.
Accountable for management of the business relationship, costs, dispatching and operational performance of third party bulk and packaged carriers and rail companies servicing our customers across Western Canada
Accountable for dispatching and operational performance of third party package carriers servicing our customers out of Mississauga
Accountable for developing, optimizing and improving the cost effectiveness of PCLI’s package & warehouse operations
Accountable for Distribution’s compliance with PCLI’s management systems including ISO +001, 14001, and IATF 16+4+
Member of Joint, Health and Safety team

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion

Experience
10+ years of related work experience with a minimum of 5 years of direct leadership experience (leadership in a unionized environment is preferred)
Previous manufacturing or logistics and distribution experience is required
Experience leading teams in an operational setting
Education Level
Post-secondary education with a Technical, Business or Logistics diploma/degree preferred however, a combination of education and related work experience will be considered

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Leader of organization with over 60 unionized and non-unionized employees based in and Mississauga
Member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team.
Accountable for managing business relationships with bulk and packaged third party carriers that service our Western Canadian business
Work Conditions
Work is conducting mainly in an office setting with regular exposure to the on-site packaging, blending and warehouse facilities.
Periods of increased pressure and stress when dealing with operational challenges and responding to incidents.
North American travel to Global Supply Chain facilities/operations is required (up to 20% ad hoc)
