We support a diverse set of customers and handle a wide range of items coming into our warehouse daily. The Position: Tech specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and punctual Tech Specialist to join our team. An ideal candidate is one who is willing to learn, is passionate about technology, and has good to excellent levels of computer literacy.
While this position is not a typical IT support position, the knowledge, skills and experience of personnel knowledgeable about and/or trained for IT positions is highly valued. Additionally, the specialty knowledge and experience gained in this position is highly applicable to the requirements of other IT positions throughout the world.
The primary duties of this position involve interacting with nearly every conceivable type of electronic equipment manufactured in the past twenty years. Most often, we seek to refurbish this equipment to working order, so careful attention to detail and the ability to work effectively through a variety of differing tasks is a requirement.
The Environment:
Most of our work is based out of a warehouse environment where we operate trucks, forklifts and occasional other large equipment throughout the day. Depending on what project we are working on, members of our team could be expected to work at stations in the main warehouse area or at stations in the front offices. We expect our team to maintain a high level of awareness and safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately identify and sort electronic equipment by type, manufacturer and condition.
Test and troubleshoot electronics such as laptops, desktops, video game consoles, cell phones, and business phones; making sure to note any cosmetic and functional issues that present themselves.
Disassemble and reassemble laptop and desktop PCs to bring them back to excellent functional order and cosmetic condition.
Operate various pieces of software to track product details such as prices, quantities, specifications and conditions.
Research correct methods of operating and testing electronic equipment such as credit card readers, receipt printers, desktop printers, computer accessories, networking equipment, and server hardware.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous IT experience.
Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
Knowledge of computer hardware and accessories.
Knowledge of networking and server hardware.
Previous warehouse experience.
Compensation:
$20 - $22/hr Depending on Experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
