Job Description
This role is well-suited for a collaborative leader with strong technical accounting expertise, communication skills, and experience navigating complex transactions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead accounting support for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions
• Oversee accounting due diligence efforts and assist with post-transaction integration activities
• Identify and assess accounting risks associated with transactions and recommend appropriate solutions
• Provide guidance on technical accounting topics, including consolidation, revenue recognition, goodwill, and valuation matters
• Prepare and review technical accounting documentation and position papers
• Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, tax, IT, and external advisors
• Communicate key accounting conclusions and implications to senior leadership
• Support the preparation and review of opening balance sheets for acquired entities
• Monitor and interpret new accounting standards and assist with implementation across the organization
• Manage relationships with external auditors and third-party specialists
• Drive process improvements and enhance efficiency within accounting policy workflows
• Mentor and develop team members, strengthening overall technical capabilities
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role
• CPA or equivalent certification
• Background in technical accounting or transaction-related accounting
• Experience working with large, complex organizations or professional services firms
