About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

At Google Photos, our mission is to be a home for all your photos and videos, organized and brought to life, so that you save and share what matters. Our products allow users to store, manage, share, and relive their most cherished memories.

The Photos Storytelling team goal is to become the primary destination for anyone to leverage the power of Google AI to find inspiration and effortlessly transform media into creative stories that they cherish and are proud to share. Advancements in capture and connectivity are empowering users globally to take more video than ever before, enabling us to preserve our memories and connect with others and with the advent of AI tools and capabilities, the traditionally time-intensive task of working with videos has never been more accessible. We aim to empower users to tell their stories through video by solving key friction points making creation less time-consuming and difficult while delivering unique, helpful, and actionable creative tools.

Google Photos is a photo sharing and storage service developed by Google. Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. We are dedicated to making Google experiences centered around the user.

Responsibilities
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to operationalize the video editing product goal. Translate the product roadmap into executable program plans, defining milestones, resource requirements, and operational success metrics that align with broader photos objectives.
Drive the end-to-end planning, scoping, and delivery of critical workstreams within the video editing roadmap. Manage complex dependencies across teams to ensure the timely launch of high-quality editing experiences on iOS and Android. Ensure new capabilities and features, including Generative AI innovations, land effectively.
Identify and drive efficiencies in how we build and launch products. Enable quick decision-making and risk management. Identify solutions for faster iteration and experimentation without compromising quality.
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners across Engineering, Design, Research, Analytics, Legal, and Privacy. Ensure alignment across these groups by driving communications and removing roadblocks.
Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, ****** orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements. See also Google's EEO Policy and EEO is the Law.
