Title: Jr. Azure Project Manager

Contract: up to 18 Months Open-Ended W2 Contract

Location: Fully remote (Must live within US)

Shift: M-F regular business hours (day)

Rate: $45 an hour W2

• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is part of the Azure infrastructure CSA, responsible for Azure infrastructure sales strategy and market approach. They define fiscal year priorities, manage programs to support sales to customers, track metrics, and build resources for customer engagement.

• Key projects: This role will contribute to:

The Innovation Acceleration Program (IAP) focuses on guidance reports, success metrics, and measuring business performance for sales leaders and managers. Key responsibilities include capturing requirements for new metrics, dashboards, and reports; working with the engineering team for implementation; overseeing the project lifecycle; performing data validation; and generating analysis and reports. This role requires skills in program management and business insight analysis.

• High visibility and strategic importance within the Azure infrastructure team, which is central to Azure's strategy.

• Global exposure, as the roles involve accountability for the global strategy for Azure infrastructure, offering interaction with different business units, subsidiaries, and cultures.

• A collaborative and dynamic team culture, providing opportunities for learning and career development through interactions with experienced full-time employees (FTEs)

Candidate Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 2-3 overall years of experience in the field.

• Degrees or certifications required: PMP or PMI certifications are a plus. & PowerBI Certifications

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. Minimum 2-3 years experience with generating reports, insights, executive summaries, and distilling data into actionable business insights while using PowerBI.

2. Minimum 2-3 years experience with Microsoft Azure or background in Azure and partner programs at Microsoft.

3. Minimum 2-3 years experience with managing complex technology programs.

IAP Program Management and Business Insights support including:

• Lead and manage data-driven projects using Power BI, encompassing the entire spectrum from data acquisition to visualization and interpretation, conducting data diagnosis to understand underlying issues and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to delineate business requirements, prioritize roadmap and cultivate actionable insights that drive tangible business value.

• Support the design, implementation, data validation and ongoing utilization of Power BI dashboards and reports, delivering actionable insights that empower strategic decision-making processes.

• Conduct data analysis to discern trends, patterns, and areas for enhancement, employing diagnostic techniques to identify and address underlying issues.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Forge strategic partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure data strategies align seamlessly with overarching business objectives, fostering synergy and collaboration across departments.

• Remain informed of prevailing industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization, integrating them into project methodologies to enhance effectiveness.

• Conduct regular project reviews and post-implementation evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Interface with client on technical and/or project matters from project initiation through delivery. Create and maintain program/project schedules and status reports. Create the functional specifications and/or requirements or scope that will be used as a tool in making decisions as to how the product, service and/or project will be implemented. Provide technical and/or analytical information and receive input and approval as required. Organize cross functional activities ensuring that the program/project is completed on schedule and within budget constraints.
