About the Opportunity
The Career Foundation is hiring a Technical Recruiter (Commission-Based) on behalf of one of our valued employer partners. We are seeking a driven, results-oriented individual with a strong sales mindset to join a growing recruitment team based in Vaughan, Ontario.
This role is an excellent fit for candidates with sales or business development experience who are looking to transition into the high‑reward field of technical recruitment.
The employer provides comprehensive, paid training and ongoing mentorship, focusing on developing strong recruitment, client management, and candidate sourcing skills. Success in this role depends on ambition, resilience, and the ability to build meaningful professional relationships.

Training & Compensation Details:
Training Period: Up to 10 weeks, 20 hours per week
Training Pay: $17.60 per hour
Post-Training: Commission-Based, with no fixed salary; earnings are based on 3–5% of the fee per placement

Key Responsibilities
Build and manage relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their hiring needs and providing effective recruitment solutions.
Source, screen, and qualify candidates across technical fields (IT, Engineering, Skilled Trades, etc.).
Conduct phone and virtual interviews, assessing both technical and soft skills.
Coordinate interviews between clients and candidates and support the hiring process from start to finish.
Negotiate job offers and close successful placements.
Maintain a strong and active candidate pipeline.
Meet and exceed recruitment and sales performance targets.
Qualifications & Candidate Profile
Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, business development, or other customer-facing roles.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
Self‑motivated, persistent, and energized by achieving targets in a performance‑driven environment.
Comfortable working in a commission-based role after training.
Strong professionalism, resilience, and ability to handle rejection effectively.
Proficient with phone communication and virtual interviewing tools; able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced setting.
Interest or prior exposure to recruitment, staffing, or technical fields (IT, engineering, skilled trades) is an asset but not required.
Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for high earning potential without income caps.
Able to thrive in an environment that values initiative, accountability, and continuous growth.
