Your opportunity

As a Technical Success Manager (TSM) at New Relic, you will leverage your technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaborative spirit to enhance and grow your customer base meaningfully. Unlike a traditional technical resource for sales, you will own the technical success and post-sales relationships for our valued customers. You will foster New Relic's strategic vision and advocate for new product directions on behalf of your customers.

With a customer-obsessed mindset, you will ensure our customers become lifelong advocates of the New Relic platform by managing technical relationships, solving real-time technical challenges, and overseeing your account base from a technical viewpoint.

What you'll do
• Drive customer adoption, onboarding, and ongoing success within your assigned accounts.
• Document adoption progress and overall success.
• Lead all aspects of adopting, optimizing, and integrating New Relic's products into customers' business frameworks.
• Act as a collaborative partner with Sales to identify revenue opportunities for upselling new services and securing contract renewals.
• Advocate for new product features and convey customer feedback to New Relic's product management and engineering teams.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of each customer's business and technical landscape.
• Conduct engaging product demonstrations for various audiences, highlighting key workflows and addressing real-time technical queries to enhance platform adoption.
• Be prepared for travel as this is a field-based role, with extensive travel opportunities available for those who desire it.

This role requires:
• A minimum of 2 years of pre or post-sales experience in the software industry.
• At least 1 year of demonstrated pre or post-sales experience with enterprise customers.
• A strong technical background combined with a sales/customer-focused orientation.
• A willingness to learn new technologies.
• An interest in or experience with performance monitoring tools (infrastructure, application, web or mobile, user experience).
• The ability to maintain up-to-date project plans and documentation.
• Fluency in English.

Bonus points if you have:
• Familiarity with one or more development languages such as Java, .Net, Ruby, C, Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Exposure to and/or interest in cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, containers, microservices, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• A background in mobile device platforms & architectures (iOS & Android).
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.

The estimated on-target earnings for this role range from $149,000 to $186,000 USD, which includes salary and target sales incentives. Pay within this range varies based on work location and may also depend on individual qualifications and experience.
