About the role

We're looking for a Technology Resilience Specialist to join our Technology Enabling Services team at Australian Retirement Trust. In this permanent role, you'll be at the forefront of coordinating, assessing, designing, developing, implementing, testing, and reporting on our system recovery planning and testing activities. Your work will be crucial in enabling timely and effective decisions regarding technology resilience, ensuring our critical business services and processes can be resumed within required timeframes. You'll also provide guidance to technology and business stakeholders, ensuring continuous development, communication, testing, and improvement of our recovery plans.


As a Technology Resilience Specialist, you'll develop and implement individual System Recovery Plans (SRPs), including cloud-based and managed service Continuity Plans. You'll establish and coordinate resilience testing methodologies, ensuring all critical systems are tested annually or after significant changes. Your role will involve maintaining documentation, reporting on the state of technology resilience, and consulting with Technology and Business Owners to ensure preparedness. About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you’ll tick some of the following boxes too:

Knowledge of resilience methodologies in evaluation, restoration, and recovery.
Knowledge of infrastructure and technology resilience capabilities including cloud-based solutions.
Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Effective communication skills.
Continuous improvement driven focus and ability to challenge concepts.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
Demonstrated experience in planning, including designing, developing, implementing, and testing plans or procedures including documentation for embedding resilience practices.
Demonstrated experience in backup technology, including backup schedules, reporting and restore testing.
