We are looking for Telecommunications Field Engineers to join our NSW team.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
· Configure and integrate telecommunications and network technologies with computer systems, including software, hardware, desktops, peripherals, databases, and operating systems.
· Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment, parts, and tools, and ensure documentation aligns with communication policies, procedures, regulations, and quality standards.
· Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, and other radio communication systems.
· Provide technical guidance and monitor the performance of complex telecommunications networks and equipment.
· Deliver ongoing operational support, including network design, optimisation, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and resolution of telecommunications system issues.
· Plan and support the development of customer access telecommunications infrastructure.
· Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external stakeholders, ensuring contractual obligations and service standards are met.
· Ensuring all installations and maintenance activities comply with Australian safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices, including electrical safety, work health and safety (WHS), and telecommunications codes.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience:
- At least two-year experience working in the field on telecommunication installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- NBN enable qualified.
- First Aid & CPR required.
- Construction Card (White Card) required.
- Cabling and testing certificates required.
- Traffic Management card (Yellow Card) preferred.
- Confined space & gas detection preferred.
- Working at height preferred.
- Extensive understanding of telecommunication networks.
- Can do attitude.
- Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence required.
- Police check (within 6 months): Must be clear with no convictions.
- Position requires willingness to get Flu and Covid Vaccinations as we may work in the Aged Care sector.
Pay Rate: $77,000 p.a.
