Under close supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor), the Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs professional accounting duties of average difficulty in the establishment and maintenance of accounts and financial records in the Accounts Receivable Unit on behalf of the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). Those interested in in obtaining employment with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) must apply and compete through the State recruitment process. Applicants who successfully pass the examination will be placed on an eligibility list used to recruit for positions.
Telework Information: This position is eligible for remote-centered hybrid telework up to three days per week; in-person office attendance is required two days per week. The San Francisco office is close to BART.
Cross training available and potential for future upward mobility in an Accounting Office that is expanding to meet growing customer service needs.

Special Requirements
A STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS (SOQ) IS REQUIRED. The SOQ must be in 11 pt. Arial font; have 1" margins; be limited to no more than two (2) single-sided pages and be in narrative form (no bullet points).
