CONTEXT:
In the rapidly evolving remittance sector, Inara has established a significant presence over 25 years in several Latin American remittance corridors. The company transfers funds from the UK through a network of trusted and reliable pay-out partners.
Inara recognizes the need for top-tier cashiers in its SE London branch to deliver outstanding customer service in this competitive sector as it moves into the next critical phase of becoming a high-tech player in the market.
THE ROLE:
• Provide ‘best-in-class’ retail customer service to remittance customers: maintain consistent excellence to foster long-term customer loyalty.
• With excellent numeracy skills, provide accurate quotes and ensure absolute precision in handling cash and card transactions.
• This is a key client-facing role, both face-to-face and over the phone: provide rates, give quotes, conduct phone transactions, and accept card payments.
• 40-hour work week with flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays on a rotating schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have:
• A natural instinct to provide service with a smile and an engaging voice.
• Good working knowledge of spoken and written English and Spanish.
• Excellent numeracy skills.
• Proven track record in retail, with experience in handling people and money.
• Confidence in working with a multicultural clientele.
• A natural ability to put customers at ease, regardless of their origin or social background.
• Tenacity in negotiating with demanding customers.
• Ability to gather and accurately disseminate client data for compliance purposes.
• Unquestionable integrity.
• A commitment to continuous self-improvement.
Should have:
• Experience in a similar role within the retail financial services industry.
• A particular affinity for relating to customers with a foreign accent.
• Knowledge and experience in compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud-based systems.
• Patience to assist customers with limited linguistic abilities.
• Eagerness to grow with the business.
• Willingness to multitask, always seeking to make excellent use of time.
• A strong spirit of teamwork.
• Independence, with the ability to work alone at times and take sound commercial initiatives.
Good to have:
• Cultural sensitivity and a genuine affinity for Latin American markets.
• High energy.
• Working knowledge of additional European languages.
