Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, relational and highly adaptable teacher to join our onsite Tailored Learning (TL) team and program. The program supports approximately 50 students from Years 8-12 who require personalised pathways to successfully complete their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). Many of our young people have experienced disrupted schooling, complex life circumstances, or barriers to engagement, and benefit from flexible, individualised learning design.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong capability in differentiating curriculum, embedding literacy and numeracy across all learning areas, and designing accredited learning aligned with SACE requirements. A deep understanding that literacy and numeracy are foundational to improved learning, wellbeing and life outcomes is essential. The role requires creativity, responsiveness and a commitment to trauma-informed and inclusive practice.
The teacher will work collaboratively with TL Youth Workers as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic development of each student. Our TL program operates from a student-centred, strength-based framework, recognising and building on each young person's interests, capabilities and aspirations. Students are supported through individual case management processes, and the teacher will contribute to case reviews, personalised learning plans and transition planning.
A key responsibility of the role is to design and implement customised, accredited programs that support successful reengagement in learning and facilitate meaningful pathways into further education, training or employment. The successful applicant will demonstrate high relational capacity, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to equity, ensuring every young person is supported to achieve success.
