The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 51,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population.
The RCGP are at an exciting stage of change and a need for a Test Engineer to work on several new projects (including the new CRM project) and business as usual continuous development within the RCGP’s Digital Transformation strategy.
The Test Engineer’s prime responsibility is to support the Test Manager in ensuring quality is maintained across all IT projects at the RCGP. This will include planning, execution of tests and running automation tests across the Salesforce platform.
The ideal candidate will have relevant IT Testing experience and working on agile and software lifecycle development projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing requirements and user stories providing feedback where necessary
Develop test scripts, cases and scenarios that will determine optimal system performance according to specifications
Create and manage automation scripts for regression packs
Implement all types of application testing as needed including system and system integration testing
Track issues and defects to ensure resolution
Education:
ISTQB/ISEB certified in Software Testing (Essential)
