This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 320 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 400 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes USA, Denmark, Mexico, and UAE, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.


About the role


DroneShield is seeking a proactive and highly organised Test Site Coordinator to oversee the scheduling, operations, and maintenance of multiple test sites across the business. Reporting to the Test and Evaluation Lead, this dual-role position is also responsible for providing logistics support and coordinating assets to ensure internal teams are fully equipped for testing, demonstrations, training, and customer engagements.


This role is critical to enhancing site availability, safety, and operational readiness, supporting the growth of DroneShield’s test and evaluation capabilities across multiple locations.


Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations
Test Site Coordination & Management

Maintain the master calendar for all test site bookings across T&E, Drone Operations, Sales, and Engineering.
Coordinate site access, and ensure avoidance of conflicts in usage.
Conduct pre-activity and post-activity site checks to ensure safety, readiness, and cleanliness.
Maintain site-specific documentation, procedures, and test logs.
Coordinate any contractors or suppliers supporting site services (e.g. power, internet, signage, fencing).
Logistics & Asset Coordination

Coordinate movement of drones, equipment, tools, and consumables to/from test sites, demonstrations, and customer deployments.
Manage test/demonstration kit check-in/check-out process and track usage across business units.
Maintain accurate inventory of site-specific assets and shared equipment.
Support the repair, servicing, and replenishment of test-related assets, including working with the Tech or Production teams as needed.
Maintain asset and logistics tracking tools, ensuring real-time visibility and audit readiness.
Support to Field and Demonstration Activities

Support site setup and pack-down during customer demos, trials, or training events.
Ensure logistical readiness for major test and demonstration campaigns, including transport, equipment preparation, and contingency planning.
Act as an on-site coordinator during high-profile or multi-team test days.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills

3+ years in operations, logistics, test range coordination, or field service support.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with scheduling, inventory systems, and field logistics planning.
Understanding of safety practices in drone operations, field testing, or military/Defence context is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to coordinate across diverse internal teams and external partners.
Comfortable working in outdoor and remote environments.
