G M Fabrics is hiring "Textile Designer - Madeups" in our design department.
Job Location: Marol, Andheri(East)
Work days: Mon to Sat(Sun off +2 Alt Sat off)
Job Role:
• Develop original designs for made-up textiles, including prints, patterns, and textures.
• Collaborate with the product development team to select materials and ensure designs meet production capabilities.
• Create technical specifications and documentation for samples and production.
• Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform design decisions.
• Work with color palettes and coordinate fabric selections to enhance product appeal.
• Prepare and present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders.
• Oversee the sampling process, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Maintain an organized library of designs and samples for future reference.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in textile design, specifically in made-ups.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design work, particularly in made-ups.
