Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum for students in accordance with educational standards and learning objectives.
• Instructional Delivery: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in English language and literature, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and literary analysis.
• Lesson Planning: Plan and prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and conducive learning environment by managing classroom behavior, promoting student engagement, and fostering a culture of respect and cooperation.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments, including tests, quizzes, essays, and projects, to evaluate students' understanding of English concepts and monitor their academic progress.
• Individualized Support: Provide individualized support, remediation, and enrichment activities to students who require additional assistance or challenge in mastering English language skills and concepts.
• Literary Analysis: Facilitate the study and analysis of literary texts, including novels, poems, plays, and essays, to develop students' critical thinking, analytical, and interpretive skills.
• Writing Skills Development: Guide students in improving their writing proficiency by teaching various writing forms, techniques, and conventions and providing constructive feedback on their compositions and essays.
• Language Proficiency: Foster students' proficiency in English language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, through interactive activities, discussions, and language drills.
• Technology Integration: Integrate educational technology tools, multimedia resources, and digital platforms into the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning experiences and promote digital literacy skills.
• Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians, providing regular updates on students' progress, performance, and participation in English language activities, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as workshops, conferences, and seminars, to stay updated on advancements in English language teaching, curriculum innovations, and educational technology integration.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, departmental heads, and school administrators to coordinate instructional activities, share best practices, and contribute to the overall academic development of students.
• Records Management: Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, assessments, and other relevant information using school management systems and databases.
