Principle Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
The incumbent would need to possess a strong background in theater arts and pedagogy, along with the qualifications required by the CBSE board. They would be responsible for teaching drama and theater to students, potentially including curriculum development, performance coordination, and fostering students' creative and critical thinking skills.
• Curriculum Development and Delivery: Developing and implementing drama and theater curriculum aligned with CBSE guidelines.
• Performance Coordination: Organizing and directing school plays, performances, and other theatrical events.
• Skill Development: Helping students develop acting, directing, stagecraft, and other theater-related skills.
• Critical Thinking and Creativity: Encouraging students to think critically about theater and express their creativity through various activities.
• Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating teamwork among students and collaborating with other educators.
• Assessment and Feedback: Evaluating student performance and providing constructive feedback.
Qualification & Experience:
• A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is generally required, along with a degree or specialization in theater, drama, or a related field.
• Prior experience in teaching theater or working in the performing arts in a school of repute is highly desirable.
