About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a K–8 school. The position covers four sections of Physical Science (physics/chemistry) and one section of Life Science. Each class meets four times a week. A qualified math teacher may also be considered, as the material is accessible at this level.
Schedule:
Teaching Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 9:30 am – 3:45 pm
Friday: 8:30 am – 2:00 pm
Full-Time Teacher Hours: Begin at 8:00 am (includes prep periods and team meetings)
We are also open to someone who can start 8:30 or 9am
Responsibilities:
Teach physical and life science to middle school students
Develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans
Collaborate with colleagues during team meetings
Assess student progress and provide feedback
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or related field (required)
Teaching credential (preferred, but not required for qualified math teachers)
Experience teaching middle school students
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Salary:
$75,000 – $95,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
Higher salaries available for highly experienced teachers
