A passion for working with children and an interest in education.
1-2 years experience working in a childcare setting preferred.
Knowledge of FLIGHT, Learning through Play, and Reggio Emilia curriculum.
Must have CURRENT background check with vulnerable sector search
Must have CURRENT First Aid/CPR
-Government wage top-up ($2.64, $5.05 or $8.62)

Duties:
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare classroom
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide individualized attention and support to children with special needs
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and educational activities
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the daycare classroom
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education degree preferred
- Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children, including those with special needs
