This is a unique opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team within Business Banking. This role sits within the Trade & Working Capital Portfolio Risk and In-Life Management Team which forms part of Business Lending providing the full spectrum of business customers’ trade & working capital borrowing needs. The broader team is responsible for the distribution of all trade and working capital products, pricing and process management, development and in-life management of certain working capital products and management of business customers in arrears or financial difficulty.

The Senior Trade & Working Capital Specialist – Account Management reports to the National Executive Manager – Trade & Working Capital Portfolio Risk and In-Life Management. You will be part of a national team and be responsible for in-life management of products in the trade & working capital lending portfolio and acting as a subject matter expert managing a portfolio of trade and working capital customers.

Key Responsibilities

Your accountabilities include:

Play a key role in the Trade & Working Capital Portfolio Risk and In-Life Management team.

Be accountable for a portfolio of trade & working capital customers taking responsibility for the in-life management of those customers.

Management of customer relationships, including development of strong customer relationships providing excellent customer service.

Take responsibility for annual reviews, identifying any emerging risks and working closely with bankers and risk teams to address any issues.

Proactively identify and execute opportunities for facility variations across the customer portfolio.

Work closely with the operations team to address customer queries in a timely manner.

Establish strong internal stakeholder relationships e.g. with risk, bankers, sales teams.

Assist with the promotion of internal and external branding regarding trade & working capital.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in banking or financial services, incorporating trade finance, working capital finance or cashflow lending is advantageous

Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships

Customer-centric thinking, with clear communication skills both written and verbal

Strong financial acumen including working capital cycle and financial analysis

Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills

Strong drive and passion around delivering market leading trade & working capital products to our customers
