Job Description
KPMG is actively seeking a Trade & Customs Manager to join our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consult with clients across various industries to provide expert advice on trade and customs compliance.
• Lead and manage client projects including import/export classifications, audits, program development, and training.
• Contribute to market development and thought leadership, including writing articles.
• Research and analyze various trade topics, producing comprehensive guidance.
• Oversee project engagements, including team assembly and engagement management.
• Support the professional development and training of team members.
• Uphold KPMG's standards of integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of five years of recent consulting experience in trade compliance, including relevant regulations and compliance frameworks.
• A JD/LLM degree is preferred; or a Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or at least twenty years of relevant experience. Must obtain an approved credential such as a Customs Broker License within one year of hire.
• Significant knowledge of U.S. import and export control regulations, with the ability to navigate complex issues with practical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; experience in data analytics is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship.
