Job Description
Join the dynamic team at Grubers Beckett Chartered Accountants' as a full-time Trainee Accountant based in Sydney, NSW. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial accounting and reporting services to a diverse range of clients across a variety of industries. Assisting with the continual service and proactive approach to our client base with uncapped potential for growth and career progression.
Key responsibilities
Manage day-to-day office operations including reception duties, client communications, and administrative support
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
Prepare and lodge financial statements, tax returns, and BAS in compliance with regulations
Support month-end and year-end processes, and contribute to financial reporting and analysis
Liaise with clients to understand their financial needs and deliver high-quality service
Assist with internal systems, staff coordination, and the implementation of efficient procedures
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field
Relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably within a professional services or chartered accounting environment
Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients
Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
