Job Description
• Create, develop, and deliver inpatient training course for facility coding
• Accomplish training readiness and all logistics required to conduct the academy training (coding manuals, training rooms, etc.)
• Prepare learning materials whenever required
• Responsible for tracking assessment scores
• Organize, coordinate, and communicate training programs for the business
• Provide feedback on regular basis
• Partner with leadership to provide coaching during training
• Provide feedback to management on individual and group training results
• Review and update training materials as needed
• Ability to facilitate diverse groups of people
• Other duties may apply
Requirements
• Graduate or Postgraduate in : Life Sciences, Allied Medicine (BHMS, BAMS, BPT, Dental Grads, Pharmacist, Nursing)
• Should be a certified coder AAPC / AHIMA CCS / CIC
• Excellent communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy / physiology, pathophysiology
• Should have thorough understanding of interpreting the medications and dosages
• Should have minimum of 8-10 yrs. experience in Facility Inpatient coding
• Should have experience in IP DRG training
• Should be able to provide proper and detailed feedback on errors and conduct / provide training based on error trends
• Should be able to participate / conduct / lead calibrations between SMEs, auditors
• Should be able to independently develop and update training curriculum with all relevant guidelines
