Job Description -
Plan and execute fabrication and machining / tool room related activities for inhouse developments.
Able to read & understand the designs / assembly drawings / part drawings of Jigs / fixtures / customized equipment / material handling equipment etc.
Make a list of Raw Material needed as per the drawings.
Coordination with Purchase Department for procurement by following the company systems & procedures.
Plan and arrange the resources / accessories needed like welding fixtures / drilling jigs / templates etc.
Plan and arrange consumables needed for gas cutting, welding, shot blasting, painting, cutters / blades needed for different machines / powered tools, coolants etc.
Manage fabrication team involving fitters, welders, helpers etc.
Manage machining team involving basic operations like turning, milling, grinding, drilling etc.
Manage tool room activities like cutter regrinding / sharpening etc.
Coordination with maintenance team and ensure preventive maintenance of all the equipment & tools under his control.
Prepare detailed BOM as per the fabrication drawings.
Prepare necessary cutting plan for both fabrication and machining.
