Hovis have an exciting opportunity as a Trays & Banks Operative based at our site in Avonmouth, Bristol. Reporting to the Supply Chain FLM, the Trays & Banks Operative will play a key role in getting our products to the right place at the right time. Our site has an enviable delivery record; one we work hard to maintain.

168 shift pattern (working 14 days out of 28)

Week 1 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday all 06:00-18:00

Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 18:00-06:00, Saturday 06:00-18:00

Week 3 – Sunday & Monday 06:00-18:00, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 18:00-06:00

Week 4 – Sunday 18:00-06:00

How will you contribute?

· Always comply with all applicable corporate and legal standards (personal safety, food safety, quality, hygiene and environment).

· To ensure all equipment is offloaded from vehicles within key performance indicator targets

· To ensure equipment is loaded onto relevant trailers when required within key performance indicator targets

· To ensure the movement of baskets is undertaken using the correct manual handling techniques

· To ensure you operate equipment such as MHE and isolate machinery in a safe manner

· To ensure you complete pre-start checks for MHE at the beginning of each working shift

· External working in adverse conditions

· To make an active and positive contribution to the site Logistics Team

· Trays & Banks Operatives will be fully trained

· Trays & Banks will provide cover when on nights for traywash operatives during break times

What will you bring?

· Forklift experience is desirable

· A forklift licence is desirable but not essential as in house training will be given

· Successful candidate will be flexible, good attendance and good timekeeping

· The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated and a committed individual with a can do approach

· Will have the ability to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines

· Will have a positive attitude to work and be flexible to meet the challenging demands of the operation

· Will be an effective communicator and be able to develop good working relationships at all levels

· Ideally we are looking for someone who is self motivated, diligent, productive, committed and has the natural drive for results and meeting targets

Successful candidate will be highly motivated, focused, reliable and hardworking, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team. Previous forklift experience is desirable and the ability to work in a fast moving environment. Full training will be provided.
