UI Automation
Location: Pune
Experience: At Least 1 year of Relevant Experience
Looking for a UI automation engineer responsible for automating a web application that deals in cloud data security and SQL data protection.
Here’s what day to day work would involve include the following:
● You will have to collaborate with UX designers, back-end developers, and front-end developers to understand the feature and test the web app that communicates with the API using standard methods.
● Perform manual / automated exploratory testing on high risk items and understand the newly added features in the web application.
● You need to manually explore features and automate tests considering all corner cases, file bugs and validate fixed bugs
● Ensure release confidence to the stakeholders
Responsibilities:
● Continuously improve the testing infrastructure to ensure its reliability and scalability.
● Understand product requirements and user pain points to assemble a set of test cases.
● Automate the testing of the product, differentiating between smoke, sanity, and regression tests.
● Understand a feature and test it thoroughly, figure out its limitations, and validate edge case scenarios.
● Document the steps to be performed during the testing.
● Plan and prioritize the roadmap for the automation
● Keep track of code coverage
● Code review of peers keeping the coding standards and code structure
● Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and processes
● Attend scrum calls, sprint plannings, and stand-ups
● Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
Requirements:
● Experience in writing UI automation tests using UI automation frameworks.
● Strong Software development fundamentals, architecture, algorithms, and problem-solving skills.
● Proficient in JavaScript.
● Working knowledge of QA automation best practices using Page Object Model (POM).
● Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins is a plus.
● Good level of knowledge of UNIX/LINUX is required.
● Good level of knowledge of Git is required.
● An understanding of how to automate UI test sequences and should have good controls on the tools to accomplish the task.
● Expertise in validating REST APIs, backend application flow logic with good debugging skills.
● Comfort with an Agile environment with rapid application development.
● Engineering degree in a related field.
● Good level of understanding of the software development life cycle and lean/agile QA methodologies.
● Good level of understanding of QA process, Test planning, Test case generation and Defect management (JIRA
