This role will be part of the AFC UKI Regional Management Office team and will support specific regional needs in terms of governance, issues management, targeted training, UK MLRO accountability and oversight of regulatory deliverables through ensuring regional needs are met while aligning to the global functional model. Your key responsibilities
Drive ongoing enhancements to existing MI and Reporting. Responsible for drafting of regular Board and Board-level update papers and coordinate with MLROs to ensure that reporting materials reflect key information and developments.
Produce monthly reporting materials to the London Branch Board, NFRC and act as secretariat to the Key Risks and Oversight Forum meeting – the primary governance forum for UKI AFC.
Support the Regional 2LoD governance framework so that it sufficiently allows for ongoing monitoring of regional financial crime risks and control effectiveness. Ensure all governance fora have a clear purpose, appropriate attendance, adequate reporting and MI that facilitates the purpose
Support formalisation of regional oversight across key financial crime prevention activities and risk types related to AFC functions.
Support the Regional Issues Management process including coordinating action plans and owners for the timely resolution of audit and regulatory findings. Monitor the status of self-identified issues and ensure that the Bank’s issues management system remains accurate and up to date with respect to findings owned in the region.
Your skills and experience
Degree level education or equivalent experience and (preferably in house) experience in AFC/Risk Management which reflects the minimum skills and competencies, as outlined below.
Experience with senior-level executives and forums
Knowledgeable of regulatory obligations and industry standards in relation to AFC
Ability to deliver timely and quality execution in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment.
A good eye for detail when transposing requirements of law/regulation into operational policies and reports / internal document maintained for regulatory purposes.
Comfortable acting as delegate for senior UKI AFC personnel, including the SMF17 where necessary, within the department in any and all senior management forums as necessary.
