Job Title:
Material/Handling Helper
About the Job:
We are seeking reliable and skilled Material/Handling Helpers to join our team at the Central Distribution Center in Glen Ellyn, IL. As a Material/Handling Helper, you will be responsible for picking and packing material inventory on a daily basis, making routine deliveries to various locations within the Nicor Gas Territory, and performing various warehouse duties.
Responsibilities:
• Picking and packing material inventory
• Making routine deliveries to various locations
• Receiving new material and processing returns
• Performing various warehouse duties
• Reading maps in rural and non-rural areas
• Operating a fork-lift, reach truck, and manual or electric pallet jacks
Requirements:
• Ability to accurately record data
• Ability to work day/night shifts
• CDL Class "B" License with Hazardous Material Certification
Work Environment:
This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. Normal hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m., but evening and Saturday overtime can be scheduled with little or no notice.
Training:
Paid training is provided and classified as "On The Job" training, taking place in our Glen Ellyn, IL facility.
