Upper Elementary Math Specialist Teacher

💰 $3,200 - $5,120 (Est.) 📍 Seattle

Job Description

About the role

Epiphany School is seeking a dynamic and experienced Math Specialist to join our academic team. This position focuses on supporting math instruction in grades 3 – 5, in collaboration with grade-level teams, school leadership, instructional coaching staff, and the learning support department. The Math Specialist plays a key role in shaping math instruction across the division and ensuring a seamless, cohesive math experience for students from Pre-K through Grade 5.

The Math Specialist is a leader and advocate for math learning throughout the school community, and partners closely with school leadership to promote and lead strategic math curriculum initiatives, including designing and facilitating professional development workshops for faculty, reviewing program usage and rubrics, leading the implementation of new tools, and partnering with faculty on math report writing.

This role works directly with students about 40% of the time and spends approximately 60% on strategic curricular leadership work with opportunities to delve deeper into subject area expertise. The 40/60 split is subject to change based on the needs of the school.

Performance is measured through successful leadership of programmatic and strategic initiatives, ensuring student needs are met by developing differentiated instruction across the division, and monitoring student growth through the development of comprehensive assessment plans.
