Job Description
The Water Distribution Division delivers safe drinking water to customers in the City of Goodyear. Distribution and delivery to customers are achieved through a network of underground pipes called the distribution system. The pipes vary in size from 4 to 30 inches in diameter and convey water from the pumping facility to the customer's tap. The distribution system has approximately 510 miles of main. The Division is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all city owned fire hydrants, water mains, service lines, and water meters. This includes the reading of water meters, and utility locating.
