Job Description
We are looking for a UX lead who will help us build a product that will compete against the best on the world stage, and creates a WOW for the users - simplifies very complex workflows for users with very different levels of sophistication and needs.
Responsibilities:
• Create a UX strategy by looking at internal and external data and building a roadmap to execute it.
• Manage and build a team of designers. Identify skill gaps and plan to hire needs.
• You should have owned the experience of a set of users and delivered products that have delighted end users.
• You have studied user requirements, built strategies, validated solutions, aligned stakeholders, and scoped releases.
• You have worked closely with the product and engineering team in an agile environment.
• You deliver great experiences and demonstrated success through measurable metrics.
• Desirable that you have previously led a team in a product company (at least 12 months).
• Define and follow a design process from ideation to launch (user research, problem identification, user flows and scenarios, sketches, wireframes, low-fidelity/high-fidelity prototypes).
• Expert-level understanding of user research methodologies.
• Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
• Collaborate with the product management and engineering leaders on your projects to balance technical, business, and product requirements.
• Ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups in an iterative environment.
• The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment.
• A clear sense of design aesthetics, and a natural propensity towards simplification and over-complication.
• An aptitude and honed intuition for tasteful, visual design details.
• Creating a consistent multi-device experience and must have the platform-level understanding to leverage native features.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design/Human Factors/ HCI/ Cognitive Science/ Psychology/CS.
• Expert in using Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and After Effect) and prototyping tools like Framer, and Protopie.
• Basic knowledge of HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript.
• Experience in the e-commerce industry will be an added advantage.
• A design portfolio demonstrating past work preferably a few designs from the consumer industry
