About the opportunity
We are excited to be seeking an organised and motivated Venue and Functions Assistant to join our Events Team on a casual basis.
The role is primarily responsible for the ongoing support of setup and operations of functions and events at Council-owned function centres, and other Council events where required.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
Minimum 12-months of experience in a similar role
Provide First Aid certificate Venue and Functions Assistant
Responsible Service of ******* (RSA)
Solid working experience in:
Cash handling
Cleaning
Room set up
Stage setup
Customer service.
Strong understanding of and/or experience in hospitality (food and beverage) operations including front of house, kitchen and bar
Experience working within a dynamic team environment
Available to work flexible working hours during the week and on weekends.
Desirable:
Fire Warden and Emergency Response

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
Entry level for this position starts at $35.9083 per hour, plus 25% casual loading
Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
