The Opportunity
An award-winning Blue Mountains venue with a loyal following and strong reputation for food, beverage and hospitality is looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead the team.
Known for bold, produce-driven food, a vibrant atmosphere and genuinely warm service, the venue is busy most nights with a mix of locals, travellers and weekend guests escaping the city.
We’re now looking for a hands-on leader with strong food & beverage experience to oversee day-to-day operations, lead the team and continue building the energy, culture and performance of the venue.
This is a role for someone who thrives on the floor, leads from the front and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving a successful operation.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of the venue’s daily operations, with a strong focus on guest experience, property presentation, team leadership and overall performance.
This is not an office-based role — you’ll be present around the property, in front of guests, on the floor in the restaurant, leading service, supporting the team and ensuring everything runs seamlessly from open to close.
You’ll work closely with the kitchen, floor staff, housekeeping, and grounds to maintain high standards, drive consistency and continue evolving the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day venue operations across the hotel and food & beverage side
Lead the team from all aspects
Train, mentor and develop the team
Manage rostering, labour costs and shift planning
Oversee ordering and stock control
Drive a strong, positive team culture
Build relationships with regular guests and returning visitors
Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service
Monitor performance, costs and overall venue profitability
Who This Role Would Suit
This role is ideal for a Venue Manager that will take ownership of the hotel and food & beverage side but is also experienced in food & beverage / restaurant role.
You:
Have experience managing a hotel as well as driving a busy restaurant, wine bar or similar venue
Are confident leading teams and running high-volume service
Have strong food, wine and beverage knowledge
Understand rostering, costs and operational system
Stay calm and organised during busy services
Lead with professionalism, warmth and confidence
RSA required. First Aid desirable.
