Responsibilities
The Vice President of Human Resources supports the Clinical Services Group (CSG) provides the strategic HR direction for all HCA managed hospital-based locations across the nation and ensures that all aspects of human resources strategies are aligned and executed upon
This role helps establish and drive key HR strategic initiatives and support daily operations to the broader CSG organization, serving as the Regional VP delegate
The role reports directly to the Regional Vice President and provides leadership and direction to the Hospital-Based Medicine service line HR leaders supporting six service lines including Hospital Based Physicians (HBP), Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine (EM/HM), Anesthesia Services (ANES), Intensivists and Critical Care Physicians (ICC), Forward Pathology Solutions (FPS), and Laboratory Services (LAB), in addition to the CSG HR Project Coordinator
Co-Create Business and HR Strategy
Lead Human Resources leadership teams
Work with the HR staff and business executives to understand talent needs of the businesses within the region and define the overall regional people strategies
Lead implementation for enterprise-wide and regional HR initiatives
Proactively obtain, interpret and present metrics and analysis to business leaders to inform decisions
Provide HR observations related to business strategy/performance in meetings and one-on-one
Engage business leaders through change management, non-routine performance management issues, etc
Engage Presidents on key leadership development needs & programs; partner with L&OD Center of Excellence to deploy appropriate development programs, executive coaching/mentoring
Co-lead implementation of HCA-wide strategic talent planning processes (performance assessment & review, succession planning, org and employee development) across CSG businesses
Partner with Corporate & Division/LOB leaders on strategies related to patient care, quality, safety & compliance, physical security, data security, professional ethics, etc., co-creating strategic initiatives to create an environment of compliance/excellence
Serve as a delegate of the CSG RVP to the HR professionals working across all lines of business within CSG
Lead process of ongoing position budgeting review & management; ensure workforce and hiring plans are aligned with span of control metrics, budgets, productivity metrics, etc
