Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Footage Review & Selection:
• Review raw footage from news events, interviews, and reports.
• Select the best clips to tell a compelling and accurate story.
• Video Editing:
• Edit video content for news broadcasts or digital platforms using software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Avid, etc.
• Ensure smooth transitions, proper pacing, and engaging visuals.
• Collaboration with News Team:
• Work closely with reporters, producers, and directors to understand the narrative and editorial direction.
• Incorporate feedback from the editorial team to finalize segments.
• Graphic & Visual Effects Integration:
• Add graphics, lower-thirds (name bars), titles, and other visual elements.
• Use special effects or animations when necessary, adhering to the tone of the news report.
• Audio Editing:
• Sync video with audio, ensuring clear voiceovers, natural sound, or interviews.
• Balance background sound and add sound effects or music when appropriate.
• Adherence to Deadlines:
• Work under tight deadlines to meet live or pre-recorded broadcast schedules.
• Ensure the final content is ready for air within the required time frame.
• Technical Quality Control:
• Maintain high-quality standards in terms of video resolution, sound clarity, and color correction.
• Ensure compatibility with broadcast or streaming specifications.
• Archiving and Media Management:
• Organize and archive raw footage, edited versions, and project files.
• Manage media assets efficiently to retrieve content for future use.
• Compliance with Legal & Ethical Standards:
• Ensure that all video content adheres to copyright laws and journalistic ethics.
• Avoid any editing that may misrepresent facts or alter the narrative unfairly.
• Real-Time Editing for Live Broadcasts (if applicable):
• Quickly edit or make changes during live news broadcasts.
• Prepare last-minute clips or updates for breaking news.
A News Video Editor needs to be creative, have excellent attention to detail, and possess technical skills with editing software, while also being aware of the fast-paced nature of the news environment.

Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹18,500.00 per month
