Role And Responsibilities
The Videomaker Intern will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and creating finished, broadcastworthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the company. The individual should have a creative mind and strong storytelling skills to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
• Take a brief to grasp the teams needs and specifications
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes value and contribution to continuity
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
• Create rough and final cuts
• Manipulating video footage using modern editing techniques
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industrys best practices to maximize efficiency
• Convert ideas into visual treats. These can be in the form of Instagram videos, reels, YouTube videos, ad videos, corporate overviews, explainer videos, interview formats, news formats, motion graphics videos
Candidate Qualifications
We are looking for someone with intermediate experience in digital technology and editing software packages such as Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut, for the role of video editor. A BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is desired. The ideal candidate must have a strong video editing ability, a good portfolio, and thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity. They must also be able to work on a tight schedule and have familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.3D, and compositing.
