Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and fashion-savvy Vintage & Y2K Apparel Sourcer to source resale-ready items from thrift stores throughout Chicago. This role focuses on identifying high-demand vintage and Y2K apparel and accessories that align with our brand aesthetic and resale standards.
This opportunity is offered as an independent contractor engagement, not employment. Contractors maintain full control over how, when, and where sourcing is performed, provided all quality, approval, and delivery standards are met. Compensation is performance-based and tied directly to the number of approved items sourced and delivered.

All items must align with current resale demand and brand guidelines.
Quality & Condition Standards
Only Grade A–B condition items will be accepted.
Items must not contain:
Holes, stains, rips, or tears
Heavy wear, pilling, or fabric deterioration
Broken or missing zippers, straps, buttons, or closures
Structural damage or visible defects
Items must be clean, wearable, and resale-ready upon delivery.
Sourcing & Approval Process
Contractor independently sources items at any Chicago-area thrift store
Photos of items are submitted for approval prior to purchase
Contractor purchases only approved items using personal funds
Item cost is fully reimbursed upon delivery
Items are delivered or shipped to Vixen Archive Studio
Shipping costs are reimbursed upon receipt and verification
Payment of $4 per approved item is issued after inspection
All items approved prior to purchase are guaranteed acceptance, provided condition matches submitted approval photos.

Compensation is per item sourced, not by time worked.
Earning Potential
Earnings scale directly with productivity
Consistent sourcers can achieve $25–$35+ per hour equivalent
No earnings cap
Guaranteed payment for approved items delivered in acceptable condition
