About the Position
This role requires a talented designer who can create innovative and trend-forward footwear and handbag collections, while exploring opportunities for new product categories. The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing creative concepts and excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
• Develop 4 seasonal collections per year, aligned with current fashion trends and the House of Vian aesthetic.
• Conduct thorough trend research and analysis to inform design concepts.
• Sketch and render exceptional design ideas using traditional and digital tools.
• Work on product development and sampling to ensure ideas are put into life.
• Demonstrate expertise in surface embellishment techniques and translate them into unique design elements.
• Source and research materials for new designs.
• Assist in creating mood boards and presentations to showcase design concepts.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, or a related field from a reputable fashion college.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working as an Accessory Designer or similar role in the fashion industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing innovative and creative concepts.
• Sketching and rendering skills.
• Ability to translate trends into commercially viable and exciting designs.
• Communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
• Keen eye for detail and passion for fashion.
