Role Description/Criteria

The Position

Loreto Toorak invites applications from experienced and enthusiastic Visual Arts teachers for a part-time (0.35 FTE) fixed-term position during Term 4, 2025. The position will involve teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays, and every alternate Friday.

Reporting to the Head of Faculty, the successful candidate will be a passionate and skilled educator committed to inspiring students and fostering a strong appreciation for Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design. This role will involve teaching students across Years 7 to 9.

About You

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have:

Current Teaching Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching)
Proven expertise and knowledge in teaching visual arts and visual communication design
A demonstrated understanding and appreciation of principles and practices of student learning strategies and styles
A collaborative approach with colleagues in planning and delivering curriculum
Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents
Availability to work Mondays, Tuesdays and alternate Fridays during Term 4
