As a trusted partner to the Australian Government, we lead critical airborne special missions, from border surveillance to life-saving search-and-rescue operations, covering over 10% of the Earth’s surface. In addition to our aviation bases across Australia and the Indian Ocean Territories, we operate a 24/7 Operations Centre, Systems Integration Lab and Mission Equipment Service Centre to ensure mission success. Your New Role and Responsibilities
Support life-saving search and rescue missions as a key member of a skilled aircrew. Operate from modified aircraft, using keen observation and teamwork to help locate persons or vessels in distress. Play a vital role in high-impact, humanitarian operations.
Spot and identify people, vessels, or objects visually
Communicate findings clearly to pilots and crew
Operate and monitor mission-specific equipment
Maintain detailed records during and after missions
Work closely with aircrew in dynamic, high-pressure scenarios
