Looking for "L2 VMware administrator Specialist engineer "
Experience: 5-7 Years
Roles & Responsibilities :
VMware administrator Engineer with strong technical and troubleshooting skills to be able to implement server solutions to BOI IM. Responsible for VM administration, monitor, test and resolve related queries.
VMware Responsibilities:
ü Managing day to day operations related to ESXi / Virtual Center.
ü VMware Installation and administration
ü Patch management
ü Incident monitoring
ü Chang implementation
ü Support IT System, Cyber audits and VAPT
ü Ensure System adhere to SEBI or other Govt. Regulatory’ s guidelines
Skills:
§ Knowledge on Virtual center build / deployment
§ Previous Project experience handling at least 50 ESXi servers
§ Good Understanding of virtualization technology
§ Experience on VMware ESX 5.5 , 6.0 (or latest versions) and on V sphere would be preferable
§ Experience in P2V , VMotion and VMware virtual center would be preferable
§ Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment
§ Good understanding of HA and DRS environment
§ Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers resources between virtual machines
§ Experience in backup and recovery of Virtual machines and virtual servers
§ Experience in installing , configuring , troubleshooting ESXi
§ VMware Certified (Professional 5&/or 6, Associate)
Mandatory IT Management skills:-
v Detail Oriented
v Multi-tasking
v Good Knowledge of Incidents Management & Change management
v Coordination with vendors for escalation
v Monitor and manage vendor SLA & TAT
v Assigning severity to the Incidents logged based on the definition.
v Logging Problem Ticket for unresolved Incidents with Technical Service
v Sending Security Alert messages on newly found vulnerabilities
v Installation of security patches & bug fixes on High Critical Devices, Servers etc.
v System health checks for all Servers (HW, VMware, OS, M365, DB etc.), Network-Security devices & Action plan for any issues or Observations
v Problem Solving Skills
v Preparing & validation of Root Cause Analysis
v Must be able to learn new technologies quickly.
v Provide time estimate for project scheduling and budgeting
v Able to deal with tight deadlines and stress
v Good track on projects and high response to customer queries
v Certifications like ITIL, Project management and technical will have preference
v Ensure proper communications with the manager and send periodic reports to keep all the stake holders informed about project progress.
v Strong Communication skills in both Written and Spoken.
v Should handle business pressure
v Ready to Adopt new Mgt Skills (if require
