Qualifications
10+ years of experience in human resources or people operations, with at least 5 years in a management role
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HR best practices

Develop and execute people operations strategies that support and drive the company’s overall vision and business objectives
Work with leadership to ensure HR/people policies reflect our core values and long-term goals
Lead strategic programs in key areas, such as people analytics, employee engagement, talent development, performance management, talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits and rewards
Develop, enhance and execute culture-related initiatives, diversity-related initiatives, employee communication initiatives, etc
Create and manage a performance management system that not only measures success but also reflects our vision of employee growth, innovation, and collaboration
Ensure that individual and team goals align with the broader company mission
Utilize data-driven insights to inform people strategies and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives
Provide regular reports to leadership on how HR metrics align with the company’s mission and impact business growth
Lead the development and implementation of training programs that are aligned with the company’s vision of continuous improvement and growth
Focus on upskilling employees to meet the evolving needs of the business
Oversee and improve HR/people processes such as onboarding, payroll management, benefits administration, and offboarding to ensure operational efficiency and compliance
Ensure that the company continues to comply with all people-related regulatory requirements and guidelines
Continuously optimize processes to ensure they support the company’s evolving goals
Provide expert guidance on people-related issues and policies across all functional areas, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and compliance with legal standards
Lead all Human Resources functions for the business including onboarding, training, performance management, engagement, employer branding, retention, and compensation
Ensure all HR operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, while aligning policies with the company’s mission
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and proactively address compliance-related matters
Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to attract and retain top talent who embody the company’s values
Work closely with leadership to align talent development strategies with the company’s long-term goals
Develop and implement employee engagement programs that align with the company’s vision, fostering a positive and values-driven work culture
Implement feedback loops to continuously assess and improve the employee experience
Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and leadership, serving as an advocate for success and well-being

Our client is seeking a dynamic VP of People Operations in Houston, TX. This is a FT, on-site position.

The VP of People Operations is a visionary leader that will be responsible for the people/human resource functions that align closely with and foster the company’s vision and long-term goals.

This role is instrumental in ensuring the company's people strategies and operational processes directly contribute to creating a thriving workplace culture and driving business success. You will enhance employee experience and engagement, streamline processes, and foster an environment that reflects our company’s values and mission to build and maintain our positive, thriving culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Alignment:

o Develop and execute people operations strategies that support and drive the company’s overall vision and business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• 10+ years of experience in human resources or people operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.

• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and HR best practices.

• Experience with HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and familiarity with data analysis.

• Advanced skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to align HR strategies with broader organizational goals.

• Multi-state HR management experience, international HR management experience is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work well in a fast-paced environment.

• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.

• Must be able to be decisive and logical in evaluating and analyzing situations.
